One question we get all the time is what would be the best programming language to choose for connecting databases to the web. Well, really, each language has benifits of its own. It also is a good idea to mate a language to a database. If you want to use MSSQL, you should use ASP. If you would like to use MySQL (which we do not recommend) you should program in PHP. If you want the best option, and use PostgreSQL, iHTML is the best option for that language.
Now the question is which is the best language to use. Again there are several different factors to consider. In this area we truely try to make sense of the different languages and what they are best used for.
Something to keep in mind is that there are many many languages to work with. There are some that are basically unheard of, others that no one ever uses and still others that are terrible selections. So the most important to consider are connection speed to the database, ease of programming, amount of free code snippits and level of support. The best of all of those has to be the unknown language iHTML.
We are the first to admit there are things that only Microsoft products are able to do but we feel the best language all around has to be iHTML. Check our links to the right to try to make your own decision about what the best possible language choice would be for you.
